For over 30 years the Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) programme, international competition and global network have been equipping and mentoring future leaders to investigate environmental issues and drive positive, solution focused change.  In this context, the Turkish Environment Foundation (TÜRÇEV), one of our project partners, has guided the implementation of this program over the course of two years. The program was implemented through a combination of virtual and in-person meetings, first for trainer training and later for student training. As a result of the training sessions conducted by Prof. Dr. Çelik Tarımcı and trainer Fatma Köle on behalf of the Turkish Environment Foundation, awareness was raised among the students, and model applications were carried out.
